Visit Ephesus, one of the most beautiful ancient cities in the world and learn its secrets. The city was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Her temple was once considered the Seventh Wonder of the Ancient World and attracted pilgrims worshipping the female; first Cybele, then Artemis and finally the Virgin. Next in Ephesus, exploration of this ancient site as you pass by the Magnesia gate and enter the administrative section of ancient Ephesus. Ephesus you will have lunch in authentic restaurant near by Ephesus. In Izmir you’ll see the Konak Mosque, Ataturk Monument, Passport Pier, Alsancak Train Station, Kemeralti shopping area, Izmir Fair and more. You’ll visit Agora, the ancient market place and the Archaeological Museum which has a good collection of antiquities, of which the statues of Poseidon and Demeter are fine examples. Finally your coach will take you to a carpet weaving village where there will be a refreshment stop with a brief carpet presentation before you depart for Izmir.
